Seymour nace de la voluntad de crear un sistema de asientos que, aun conservando un marcado rigor formal, sigue el libre impulso dictado por sus líneas curvas y por la elegante secuencia de sus volúmenes, suaves y acogedores. Inspirado en arquitecturas dinámicas y sinuosas, el sofá Seymour evoca un ideal femenino de entrañable suavidad y sensual elegancia, en neta contraposición con las formas geométricas y rigurosas que caracterizan el sistema de asientos Yang. El sistema está compuesto por elementos de asiento rectos y curvos caracterizados por un cojín único, al que se asocian respaldos recubiertos con espuma de poliuretano de dos alturas que dibujan curvas tridimensionales. De este modo se pueden realizar tanto sofás fijos como composiciones rectas o esquineras, respondiendo a una interpretación más clásica o más contemporánea de la sala de estar. Los elementos curvos remarcan las líneas suaves y sinuosas de Seymour y su propensión a la comunicación y la actividad social. En la versión vis-à-vis, Seymour asume un carácter protagonista en la sala de estar construyendo una alegre interacción con las mesitas Catlin y Joy «Jut Out». Seymour apoya sobre elegantes barras de aluminio barnizado Bronce colocadas en sentido longitudinal que contribuyen a aligerar los volúmenes en la vista frontal, manteniéndolos elevados del suelo.

Structure

In multiply wood, seat suspension is provided by elastic straps with a high rubber content.

Structure preparation

The seat structure is made of high resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam with a concave contour to cradle the cushion, maximizing softness and durability. Armrests and backrests are made of metal coated in flame-resistant polyurethane foam, an additional covering in breathable heat-bonded fiber laminated to white, hypoallergenic cotton fabric lends added softness.

Cushions

Channeled goose down (certified Assopiuma, gold label) padding for backrest and cushions with center insert in high resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam. Seat cushions are completely reversible.

Covers

Seat cushions, backrest cushions and structure covers are completely removable in all versions (fabric and leather). Sofa coverings can be removed without dismantling the bases.

Base

Weight-bearing parts in extruded aluminum (exclusive Minotti Studio design) painted Bronze color and finished with a protective, impact-resistant lacquer. Rests on nylon slides.

N.B.

To facilitate transport and removal of covers, the armrests and backrests can be removed from the base through a system of quick set and release closures.
